Nicola, Finn and Maud
With our proposition we want to introduce something light and playful to the site. Hidden away in a very protected corner of the youth hostel garden, we wanted it to come together with the natural and calm area of the site, by creating a shelter in which the senses can experience the breeze , the shadows falling through the trees and the flow of rainwater. The longitudinal shape answers to the wish of having a class of schoolchildren being able to gather around a long table, and it also follows the direction of the old high brick wall that borders the site. Two important aspects are that we want to use recup materials and that the kids will be involved in the design process !
