Lianzhen, Qing and Alina
The concept was inspired by children’s forest den building. The use of light structures made from natural materials, which blend naturally with the surroundings, guided the beginning of the design development.Our main ideas include: prioritize the natural environment, create a productive place for learning while minimising destruction of the current site conditions , design a shelter that is both removable and adjustable to a variety of weather conditions , create a multifunctional design with features that make it accessible for both adults and children.Later, these ideas were developed further by taking inspiration from the structures of folding fans and spider webs, using their patterns and structural logic to create spatial qualities in the design.
